The Red Oak Rotary Club will be teaming up once again this year with KCSI/KOAK Country Sunshine Radio (Red Oak, IA) for an amazing, fun-filled event that everyone will enjoy during the half times of the Red Oak Girls and Boys Double Header basketball games at the Red Oak Jr. & Sr. High School “Orange” Gymnasium on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 when the Red Oak Tiger basketball teams play the Atlantic Trojans. Game time for the girls’ game is at 6 p.m. and the boys will follow the girl’s game approximately at 7:30 p.m. The event is called “Dash for Cash”! This is a FREE event open to anyone that attends the games that evening (admission price/Red Oak School Activity pass required for games).
The Red Oak Rotary Club will be present throughout the evening to share with the public the wonderful community and area events that they provide to residents of all ages and have a display in the school hallway before entering the gymnasium.
Contestant tickets will be handed out to those interested by the Red Oak Rotary Club prior to the girls game (winner will be drawn during girl’s halftime) until the end of the 2 nd quarter of the Boy’s game (winner drawn during boy’s halftime). There will be two lucky contestants: one for the girl’s game at halftime and one for the boy’s game at halftime. Each lucky contestant will be blind-folded, start at the half court line, and have 30 seconds to go from the half court line by walking, crawling, and listening to the fans at the game to help them locate the $100 on the basketball court. The contestant must pick up the $100 bill in their hand before the 30 seconds has expired.
Once again, this year KCSI/KOAK Radio is sponsoring the $100 for each contest. KSCI/KOAK Radio and the Red Oak Rotary Club will have contestant give away bags full of KCSI/KOAK and Red Oak Rotary Club special gifts for the two lucky contestants that are drawn out of the entry box no matter if they find the $100 on the court.
